Welcome!

Welcome to [MN]Love's blog!

My name is Jessica Englund and I am the Deputy Director here at [MN]Love. I will be one of the contributors to the blog.

What is [MN]Love?
[MN]Love is an interactive marriage equality campaign that serves as a bridge between Minnesotans and their communities. By encouraging people to voice their support for marriage equality, we are able to engage these communities directly and spread the love.

What does [MN]Love do?
We provide letter templates for you to personalize a message to your family, friends, co-workers, representatives, or anyone you want to connect with. These letters are available for you to send or we can send them for you. This method allows each constituent's unique voice to be heard. Whether you wish to send letters personally or anonymously from [MN]Love, we offer the resources for you to be involved and active.

The upcoming 2012 ballot will ask Minnesota voters whether the Minnesota constitution should be amended to specify that marriage be "between one man and one woman." At [MN]Love, we believe that the amendment unconstitutionally restricts the fundamental right of marriage. To combat the upcoming amendment, we seek to empower any and all Minnesotans to visually display what marriage means to them through our "Marriage is..." photo campaign. All of the photos will continue to demonstrate that the majority of Minnesotans support marriage equality and will VOTE NO!

Our photographs are taken, free of charge, by Simon Scott Stromberg Photography and sent directly to you! All we ask if that you proudly display your photograph so that others can see that marriage is more than simply a union "between one man and one woman."

Why a blog?
We hope that this space will offer another means for collaborative discourse! There are so many viewpoints, perspectives, and issues surrounding marriage equality and they should have a medium for expression.

We will have a myriad of different topics addressed as well as videos posted, tutorials, and general news information. If you have any suggestions, feel free to e-mail me at:

I'd love to hear your ideas!
